The e-participation blog will examine the definition and implications of the use of electronic and online resources for engagement and inclusion in global, regional, national and local diplomacy and governance. There are many questions to be addressed.  The first that come to mind are:

  • Will e-participation online threaten traditional diplomacy and governance?
  • If ubiquitous online tools for participation allow the citizenry of the world to fully exercise their rights in democratic governments, will this generate strong, clear voices to effectively address the issues, or a cacophony of noises reminiscent of the Tower of Babel?
  • Will everyone be 'talking'?
  • Will anyone be 'listening'?
  • Will it work?
