Diplo engaged with parliamentarians from 10 West African countries during the WAIGF parliamentary track.

We were honoured to facilitate discussions on national and regional priorities for digital governance, and on how to strengthen West African contributions to global digital policy processes.

A key takeaway: Parliaments play a crucial role in shaping contributions to the #WSIS+20 review, AI governance, and the #CSTD Data Governance discussions.

As these discussions continue in New York and Geneva, Diplo remains committed to supporting the development of national capacities to ensure effective and informed participation in global digital governance.

The GIP Digital Watch observatory provided just-in-time reporting from WAIGF. You can consult transcripts, messages, and analysis of the WAIGF discussions here.
