
The mechanisms behind disinformation vary by context, therefore, addressing the problem requires not only reactive one-size-fits-all measures, but also proactive efforts that reinforce democratic principles and institutions. In this by-invitation event, organised by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Marilia Maciel presents key findings of the report ‘Curbing Information Disorder to Protecting Global Democracy – Opportunities for Development Cooperation’.
