A New Online Tool to Achieve Millennium Development Goals in Brazil

A new online tool will monitor the local progress of the Millennium Development Goals in Brazil. The MDG Portal will show pertinent social, economic, and environmental indicators so that citizens may monitor achievements in the Millennium Development Goals in 5,564 Brazilian municipalities. The new portal will involve people in the implementation of public policies by offering information on the progress of their city. The private sector may also use the portal to clarify social responsibility initiatives in the cities. Current information available on the portal will also show civic authorities accomplishments and remaining challenges.
