Ambassador Kishan S. Rana is professor emeritus and senior fellow at Diplo.
He worked in the Indian Foreign Service, and was ambassador and high commissioner for Algeria, Czechoslovakia, Kenya, Mauritius, and Germany. He also worked as a staff member for former prime minister Indira Gandhi. He is currently lecturer in Bilateral Diplomacy, Consular and Diaspora Diplomacy, Economic Diplomacy, 21st Century Diplomacy, Master/Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy , and Public Diplomacy at DiploFoundation.
Since childhood, Rana was interested in photography. His father gave him a Rolleicord camera in 1954, and with limited resources, he captured the world in black-and-white photos. His early works are part of the online exhibition The Three Amigos in 2020.
