Quarterly briefing: Reviewing digital policy developments & what to expect

24 October 2019 -

WMO building, 7bis, Avenue de la Paix, Geneva

Event description

Recent headlines in digital policy showed that private companies continue to face pressure from governments, while the tech industry continues to push the boundaries with technology. Internet disruptions were at their highest in the past few months, as discussions on how technology can further advance the attainment of the 2030 Agenda mounted.

What is in store for the next quarter? The new European Commission is expected to start its work on 1 December; Libra is expected to face more scrutiny; the 14th Internet Governance Forum, in Berlin, is around the corner; and, much more.

Join us for a review of recent policy developments, and an analysis of what to expect in the next few weeks, led by Dr Jovan Kurbalija, on Thursday, 24th October, at 12.30 – 14:00 CEST, at the Geneva Internet Platform, WMO/OMM (Level 2), 7bis, Avenue de la Paix, Geneva.

Lunch will be provided; the event will not be livestreamed.
