multilateral system to enhance their causes.

Internet Governance Capacity Building Program Starts with 160 Participants

Last week marked a successful start for the Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme, with over 160 participants from 72 countries. More than 120 are from African, Caribbean, and Pacific countries. Ten groups are already deep in discussion over current Internet governance issues, including the recent events in the Arab region, IPv4 to IPv6 transition, raising awareness in developing countries, and other topical issues. The twelve week foundation phase will take participants through five Internet governance topics (infrastructure, legal, economic, socio-cultural and development aspects), and will explore the negotiation process in Internet governance. For more information, visit Diplo’s Internet Governance and Policy webpage. To learn more about Diplo’s programme for African, Caribbean, and Pacific countries, visit Diplo’s ICT Policy & Internet Governance for Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) webpage.
