If you're blogging or tweeting during the IGF, make sure to use the hashtag #IGF11. The IGF 2011 Social Media Aggregator will bring all your blogs and tweets in one place: igf2011.diplomacy.edu
The aggregator will also sift blog posts by topic and workshop, so make sure you also add the workshop or session hashtags: add #NN (in addition to #IGF11) where NN is the session/proposal number of the workshop you're writing about, for example, #63 for the e-participation workshop. A list of hashtags is available above, next to each workshop.
A special hashtag – #igfbuzz – will gather 'corridor conversations' from Diplo reporters to give people outside the event a flavour of what is going on. Check out the #igfbuzz section on the aggregator for conversations, short videos, gossip, and curiosities – and retweet!
Internet governance publications at the IGF
Diplo is proud to be launching two publications at the 6th IGF. The first publication, Emerging Leaders for the Digital World, features the experiences of some of the most active emerging leaders in Internet governance and ICT policy. The leaders, identified and empowered by Diplo’s ACP programme, have played a remarkable role in furthering regional training and education, and in driving debates, better understanding, and more support, on the meaningful use of ICTs and the Internet. Visit the Emerging Leaders homepage for more info. The publication will be launched on Wednesday 28th September (Day 2) at 5.45-6:30 p.m., Conference Room #9 (TBC).
The second is the Book of Abstracts, a collection of abstracts of the best 2011 research papers, written by our alumni in the past few months. The researched topics include security, cloud computing, e-participation, social networks, and cybercrime. Visit the Book of Abstracts homepage for more info.
Other publications will also be available at the Diplo booth, including Jovan Kurbalija’s An Introduction to Internet Governance, and the Child Safety comic book, as well as Diplo’s famous IG illustrations, and the IG DVD.
