The event is part of a series of regular briefings the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP) is delivering for diplomats at permanent missions and delegations in Geneva following digital policy issues. It is an invitation-only event.

Our mid-year briefing will reflect on recent developments and discuss what lies ahead in global digital governance,

The session will cover :

  • The Elements Paper for the WSIS+20 review (expected on 20 June)-
  • Insights from the IGF 2025 meeting, particularly on the future of the Forum itself.
  • Updates from New York negotiations on the proposed Scientific Panel on AI and the Global Dialogue on AI Governance.
  • A look-ahead at upcoming Geneva discussions.
