Ms Thato Morokong is an assistant director within the Africa Multilateral Cooperation Directorate of the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) in South Africa. She contributes to the coordination of South Africa’s participation in regional, continental, and Africa–Europe science, technology, and innovation (STI) partnerships, and projects of the department, within the scope of the different partnership portfolios. Through her role, she ensures partnership linkages, and alignment of STI priorities through, among others, facilitating South Africa’s participation in strategic regional, continental, and bi-regional research and innovation initiatives.
