In August 2003, Diplo launched its first stand-alone online course, ‘Bilateral Diplomacy’. The course objective was to acquaint participants with bilateral diplomacy – one of the essential building blocks of international relations. Basic theory was taught in combination with concrete examples from diplomatic practice. The course was conducted entirely online, over a period of two months.
