Event description
From 19 to 20 July 2018, the Maharat Foundation provided a capacity building workshop on Internet governance in co-operation with Diplo, and the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Lebanon. The training covered a wide range of issues, from infrastructure to emerging topics, such as big data and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on human rights aspects. The initiative was also considered as a step towards building a wider community supporting IG issues in Lebanon, and served as a preparatory activity to the upcoming national Internet Governance Forum (IGF).
