On 16 June 2025, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will host a closed event titled ‘AI in Action: Transforming Diplomacy, Policy, and Negotiation’ at its Montbrillant building in Geneva. Open exclusively to ITU Councillors, the event will explore how AI is being applied across diplomatic and policy processes, with a focus on practical implementation and future potential.
Dr Anita Lamprecht, International Lawyer & Consultant, Diplo, will take part in the session ‘AI in Action – Practical Applications,’ where she will present on ‘Exploring Opportunities for Diplomacy and Governance with DiploFoundation.’ Her intervention will showcase how Diplo is integrating AI into the daily work of diplomats and policymakers, combining human expertise with machine learning to support negotiation, reporting, and institutional capacity development.
Lamprecht will highlight Diplo’s suite of AI-driven initiatives aimed at equipping diplomats and policymakers with practical tools for today’s digital environment. She will present spaces for experimentation, learning, and capacity development that combine hands-on engagement with critical understanding, supporting diplomats not only in understanding AI but in actively using it.
