Advanced courses in Internet governance are scheduled to start on 11 June. The courses are: Cybersecurity | E-participation | History of Internet Governance | ICT Policy and Strategic Planning | Infrastructure and Critical Internet Resources | Intellectual Property Rights | Privacy and Personal Data Protection

Each advanced course is 8 weeks in duration, starting with an introductory week, followed by 6 weeks of intensive learning and knowledge sharing among participants. The courses end with a narrative exam given to assess the level of understanding of issues covered. The courses take place in a web-based virtual classroom with Web 2.0 interaction tools (hypertext discussion tool, forums, message boards, real-time discussions, etc), allowing participants to complete most course activities whenever convenient within a given weekly schedule. The courses are based on studying and discussing textual materials under the guidance of experienced certified tutors and with the support of experts from various institutions. Successful students will be awarded a DiploFoundation certificate.
