The Instituto del Servicio Exterior Manuel MarĂa de Peralta is Costa Rica's diplomatic academy. The institute is responsible for formulating and updating the curricula of courses in diplomatic and consular areas and those necessary for diplomats participating in its programs. The courses are taught at the Instituto del Servicio Exterior Manuel MarĂa de Peralta, located at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
