Morocco’s new diplomatic model
Morocco is using
a new blend of diplomacy to create new and strengthen existing relationships based on cultural, historic, and religious ties in a region that is facing complex geopolitical circumstances such as those relating to climate change and security.
As a solution to the Sahara dispute, Morocco has invited countries within and outside the region to build consulates that would symbolise a new consensus on dialogue and cooperation.
Using its historical and cultural understanding of the region, the country is becoming a diplomatic and economic leader, calling for an inclusive, independent, and intellectual Africa.
