Ecommerce Europe is an association representing more than 25 000 companies selling goods and/or services online to consumers in Europe. Founded by leading national e-commerce associations, Ecommerce Europe is the voice of the e-commerce sector in Europe. Its mission is to stimulate cross-border e-commerce, through lobbying for better or desired policy, by offering a European platform for European e-commerce sector and other stakeholders, and by providing in-depth research data about European markets.

In order to achieve its aim, Ecommerce Europe engages in advocacy, communication, and networking activities. The association contributes to policy discussions at the European Union level, where it advocates for a one-stop-shop for e-commerce policies, and it proposes an integrated perspective in the following areas: Internet security and privacy, consumer rights, e-payments, tax issues, competition, and logistics. As part of these activities, it has published several position papers containing recommendations for EU policy makers and other stakeholders on aspects such as: online platforms, consumer policies, geo-blocking, privacy and data protection, and e-payments.

Ecommerce Europe provides online companies across Europe with a European Trustmark label, which is intended to increase consumers' trust in e-commerce, and has now more than 10 000 certified online companies. It also publishes annual reports containing facts, figures, trends, and forecasts in the field of e-commerce. Finally, the association organises events focused on e-commerce related aspects; two examples are the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference which is part of the Global E-commerce Summit and the Global Ecommerce Round Table.
