The first issue of DiploNews came out on 1 September 1999. The electronic newsletter was created to ‘provide brief news items and relevant web links to the diplomatic community and those interested in the use of IT in diplomacy’. DiploNews has continued throughout the years, and it now has more than 330 issues.
