The AI, Governance and Philosophy Global Dialogue brings together scholars, practitioners, and young thinkers for a unique, multi-city journey across China. Organised by the School of Global Governance and School of Management at BIT, in collaboration with Diplo and SASA, this immersive programme explores how classical Chinese philosophies, Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism can inform the global governance of AI.
From Beijing to Shanghai, Jiaxing, Wuzhen, and Shenzhen, participants will engage in lectures, roundtables, and onboard dialogues covering key themes: human identity, ethics, knowledge, and the role of the state. The dialogue also fosters intergenerational exchange through sessions with Chinese and international youth.
Anchored in a comparative, cross-cultural approach, the event culminates in the drafting of the Beijing Reflection Note on AI, Philosophy, and Governance, contributing a pluralist perspective to emerging global digital norms.
