TelePresence and E-participation Take the Stage

Some of the most impressive e-tools we can use are those that help us avoid a missed meeting. These can be used in long-range planning or in crisis management. We have seen excellent examples of planned remote participation in the UN IGF process – including the current EuroDIG meeting using WebEx, UN Webcast and DimDim, and quick adaptations to the Iceland Ash Travel Restrictions using these and other tools.

There is a wide range of etools available from simple chat or Skype to sophisticated telepresence tools like those used at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference COPP 15 which you can see here:
