Event description
The ‘Internet Governance Diplomacy’ workshop in Kingston, brought together participants from Jamaica and several other Caribbean countries. The lively discussions covered issues such as infrastructure and standardisation, legal, economic, socio-cultural, and development. Participants role-played as different stakeholders in an interactive simulation exercise focusing on content management, universal broadband access, and e-commerce taxation. Discussions did not stop at the end of the workshop: Diplo and ICT4D Jamaica continued what started during the workshop through the project’s online community site.
