Ms Barbara Rosen Jacobson manages several diplomacy- and Internet- governance-related projects. Based in Geneva ‒ where she coordinates Diplo’s activities in the city, as well as the Data Diplomacy activities and GIP’s data track ‒ Barbara also curates the topics of Internet taxation and content policy for the GIP Digital Watch Observatory and represents Diplo at various meetings, conferences, and working groups in International Geneva, including the UN Office in Geneva. She is also a frequent contributor to Diplo’s blog, policy briefs, and the monthly GIP Digital Watch newsletter.
Former Chair of the Junior Diplomat Initiative Switzerland (2014/2015), Barbara was involved in projects for various organisations, including the Applied Research Institute Jerusalem, the International LGBTI Association, and the RACI Project in Indonesia. Barbara holds a BA in Social Sciences from Amsterdam University College and an MA in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
