De-Briefing of the meetings of the UN High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation and the Global Commission on Stability in Cyberspace

25 January 2019 -

Geneva, Switzerland

Event description

On 25 January, the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP) will host in co-operation with the University of Geneva the De-Briefing of the meetings of the UN High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation (HLP.DC) and the Global Commission on Stability in Cyberspace (GCSC)

In January, both the HLP.DC and the GCSC had two meetings in Geneva. At these meetings, general issues such as the future of the global Internet governance ecosystem were on the agenda, including the ‘digitalisation of sustainable development goals’ and the enhancement of security and stability in cyberspace.

The de-briefing will inform the Geneva Internet community and other interested parties about the outcome of these meetings and their plans for the future. The HLP.DC will table its final report in May 2019. The final report of the GCSC is expected at the end of 2019, or early 2020.
