Held every four years, this year’s conference aimed to review the ITU’s Internet-related resolutions including those on Internet protocol-based networks, the ITU’s role with regard to Internet-related public policy issues and management of Internet resources, the role of administrations of Member States in the management of internationalised domain names, and facilitation of the transition to IPv6. The conference also saw the election of the new Secretary-General, deputy Secretary-General, and Directors of the Bureaux.
