» EDTI Core Courses


EDTI offers two core courses, conducted in Brussels.

The Foundation Course is designed for officials with up to perhaps six years experience in an EU institution or Ministry, preparing for a posting abroad or already serving at post.

The Mid-Career Course is designed for officials at Counsellor level and above preparing for or already serving in senior appointments. The five-day course covers a range of policy issues, and focuses in particular on strategic planning, management and public diplomacy skills.

Both courses are broad in perspective. Elements in each may be followed up in greater detail through the specialist courses offered at EDTI institutions.
