DiploProjects organised a conference aimed at addressing issues related to web-management for international organisations. This is the third conference on web management organised by DiploProjects.  The success of the last two events has led to a demand for a conference focusing on web management issues for international organisations.

Information is an essential resource for International Organisations that are highly dependent on an efficient communications infrastructure for its dissemination and collection.  Websites are, in this context, of strategic importance. The value of a website lies in both the quality of information it carries and the ease with which this information can be securely posted and retrieved.

Web-management refers to the activities related to the planning, development and maintenance of a website. It is a multi-disciplinary activity which involves information management, technology and design. The management of information is of critical importance and key members within the organisation must be integrated into the process of maintaining the website.
It is the communication between three different professional cultures: the content specialists, the designers and the IT specialists that is the crux of successful web management. DiploMethodology, looks at this bridging of professional cultures to establish clear channels of communication.
